Black Friday, the name sets my heart racing a little. I start planning weeks in advance. Why do I get so excited. Could it be going out at 3am? Or the long lines? The crazy people? The crowds? It's really the unbelievable bargains that get me out in the middle of the night. Yes, Black Friday is a lot of work, it's crazy, crowded, and I generally freeze my butt off sitting out in the cold, but I think it's well worth it for the savings. Here are some tips to get you started.
1. Plan carefully. Figure out what you are looking for in advance and list them in priority.
2. Go over each ad carefully and read the fine print. Some deals require rebates to get the lowest price. Don't depend on Black Friday websites. Sometimes the ads change so you want to be sure before you commit to it.
3. Stay within your budget. It doesn't do you any good to put the deals on credit in order to pay far more later.
4. Research your items so you know if it's a really good buy or not.
5. Plan to have a great time. It's crazy, but it's also a lot of fun. Once you get hooked you will do it forever. My husband went for the first time last year and he's already asking about it now.
