Energy Alerts from PG&E

Coming Soon: Energy Alerts

This summer take advantage of Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (PG&E) new Energy Alerts tool, made possible by your SmartMeter™ device, to help you manage your energy use. Sign up for Energy Alerts and you’ll know when you’re moving into higher-priced tiers so you can manage your energy use and save.

Know your tiers to save with Energy Alerts.

The State of California has adopted a policy to encourage energy conservation, where utilities like PG&E charge residential customers on a tiered rate structure. Each month, all customers start at Tier 1, where energy costs the least. But as you use more electricity, you go from Tier 1 to Tier 2, and can go all the way up to Tier 5. The higher the tier, the more you’re paying for a kilowatt hour (kWh) of electricity.
When you sign up for Energy Alerts, you'll get your choice of a phone call, text message (SMS), or email letting you know you're about to move into Tier 3. You'll also receive additional messages if you continue to move in to Tiers 4 and 5.

Be the first to know.

Energy Alerts are coming this summer—to receive an email letting you know when you can sign up, visit www.pge.com/EnergyAlerts.
