entertaining on the cheap

I had planned a couple of weeks ago to have some friends over for memorial day weekend. After the Vet ER visit funds are low, but I'm determined to have some fun anyway. I checked my stockpiles and this is what I found. Lots of fresh spinach I received at a food bank giveaway that I was working at. Mandarin oranges out of the stockpiles. Makes a nice salad. Some hamburger patties and hamburger buns. Bought some hotdogs at Food Max for .39cents and buns for 99cents. 2 bags of potatoes from the food bank. Bacon in the freezer. Decided to make twice baked potatoes. Some tea bags to make tea with. So I have plenty of stuff to make dinner with and I spent less than $3 to entertain. All the rest came out of my stockpiles. How awesome is that? I love that God puts challenges in front of me so He can see what I will do with it. Keep building my character God!
